Australia’s Do Not Call Register now three years old

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), Australia’s regulator for broadcasting, the internet, radiocommunications and telecommunications, today issued a call to those who registered their telephone numbers with the Do Not Call Register (DNCR) in 2007 to re-register.

First time DNCR penalty imposed

Melbourne-based call centre, 24×7 Direct Pty Ltd, has paid an $8,800 infringement notice after the Australian Communications and Media Authority found it had made a number of telemarketing calls to numbers listed on the Do Not Call Register (the register).
